Dear………………
You are cordially invited to a talk to be given by Mr. Hein Otten entitled “How to Persist.” The title of this talk refers to the voluntary work which the speaker has undertaken for the past six years in helping build hospitals and schools in the Oro Province of Papua New Guinea. This voluntary work has involved raising funds and taking volunteer teams to help the local people of Oro Province.
Mr. Otten was born in Holland in 1959 and moved to Australia in 1984. He owns a business which manufactures fibre, garage and steel doors. Mr. Otten also owns the Carnegie Rental Centre which is a building equipment hire business.

Papua New Guinea is an important neighbour due to its geographical proximity and historical ties to Australia. This nation will continue to be strategically important to Australia. Consequently Mr. Otten’s talk promises to be of interest by providing an insight of how to persist in the challenge of doing volunteer work in a country of such importance to Australia.
