HCCA 2007 End of Year Dinner November 8, 2007

You are cordially invited to the Historical and Current Affairs (HCAA) End of Year Dinner in which Mr. Ben Soler will give a talk entitled ‘Why Malta has Survived and Prospered’. Mr. Soler is a Maltese Australian who is the president of the Maltese Australian Association. He has a deep interest in culture, history and art. The talk will illuminate why such a small nation as Malta has survived conquest and emerged as a proud nation.

The speaker has helped promulgate Maltese history and culture in Australia. (more…)

Royal Diamond Wedding Anniversary November 6, 2007

You are cordially invited to a dinner at Bells Hotel to celebrate the 60th Wedding Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness, Prince Phillip, the Duke of Edinburgh. This function is not a Historical and Current Affairs Analysis (HCAA) meeting and will be held on Wednesday the 28th of November. However some of the regulars to HCAA meetings are staunch monarchists and as such it is appropriate that we hold a celebration to honour the Royal Diamond Wedding Anniversary. (Non- monarchist HCAA regulars are also very welcome to attend).

The annual HCAA End of Year Dinner will still be held on Saturday the 8th of December at the Golden Triangle Restaurant.
