You are cordially invited to a talk to be given by Mrs. Adair Bunnett entitled, “First in the Field” (the motto by which the South Melbourne Council lived). This talk will cover South Melbourne’s leadership in the provision of social welfare and will conclude with an explanation of the current dispute concerning public access to the South Melbourne Town Hall.

You are cordially invited to a talk to be given by Mrs. Francesca Folk-Scolaro entitled, “Local History – Why bother?” This talk will focus on the importance of a local area maintaining its sense of identity and community by appreciating and respecting its history and traditions. The speaker has accordingly sought to ensure that the Brunswick area of Melbourne maintain its sense of tradition as Vice-President and Membership Secretary of the Brunswick Community History Group over the last ten years.
